Just Like You Poem by Jim Yerman

Just Like You

Rating: 5.0

Parents...you have a duty...
by combining the present with the past
of providing a future for your children
both meaningful...and vast.

When it comes to shaping the kind of people
they will ultimately be...
children naturally look to their parents...
for their parents hold the key.

As captains of a ship
navigating the capricious winds of fate...
teach children love...and they will love
teach them hate...and they will hate.

Whatever you choose to show them
In all you say and do
Chances are....
like it or not...
they'll grow up...
just like you.

Yeah, parenting is not a tough job if you do it with care and devotion. Children are just like a lump of clay. They will take the form as you want them to be. So it is all in their parents hands how they turn out to be when they grow up. A nice message to all parents. Thanks for sharing.
