Just Don'T Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Just Don'T

your heartbeat feels on my right side
I can feel the air in your lungs
you make a deep sigh
trying to cover those scars
don’t turn away, there’s nothing to say
just don’t leave my side

the cold seeps in through the window
the skyline shimmers brightly
you fade almost instantly
am I making any difference?
I dream to make sense to you
just don’t turn away

I’m on my knees pleading
watch me hit and crash
as I try to figure out these wounds
our shadow is one in the moonlight
if you want to, you can look away
just don’t let me go
