Just A Reminder Poem by Dorsey Baker

Just A Reminder

You heard
a clap of thunder
roar a eagle
flew into the sky
unafraid to soar

in the dirty glass
a brave heart of rain
in a trash can
discarded remorse
smell so sour
to the fresh morning air

a full cup of coffee
stronger as it turns cold
all by itself
just a reminder
of what time does.

Stronger as it turns cold. Nice work.
