Just A Flower Poem by Aminath Neena

Just A Flower

My love, be docile; for I am only a flower
Buried in the ground for ages incognito
Stroke my stem ever so gently to empower
and I will lift my face towards you in toto

Play for me your altruistic flute tenderly
And I shall enfold my tendrils around you
Graze on my clothed petals lightly
So that I will learn to open up to you

Breathe on my satiny pleated halo
And watch me in anticipation quiver
trying to bloom in my pretty tuxedo
Kiss away those scars that you may encounter

On the delicate underside of my torso
So that those tears of kosher love
Would melt away the unfortunate peccadillo
Nestle your cheek on my silky petals above

And see me unfold petal by petal, husk by husk
And cherish my floral fragrance
From morning till the drumbeats of dusk
So that you may ravish on the scent in abundance

From the special token that I have been saving
For centuries waiting for you to arise
Ever since… the epoch of the very beginning
of our destined rendezvous in paradise.
