Jupiter, Jupiter Poem by Obed dela Cruz

Jupiter, Jupiter

Rating: 5.0

Jupiter, Jupiter, you are enormous.
Jupiter, Jupiter you’re big and famous.
You’re a giant if you are compared to earth
But life is not seen in you, so where’s your worth?
You are large but not the king of Milky Way.
Like earth, you cannot for eternity stay.
If the stars desire to kill and destroy you,
They can do it without giving you a clue.
Jupiter, what does your red spot signify?
I thought you are wise and not just a mere sly.
Oh, where shall you bring your titles when you are dead?
Jupiter, where shall you put the lies you said?
Your trophies and crowns are beginning to rot.
Why to good instructions, you just give a jot?
Jupiter, Jupiter, give me your answer,
Has your greatness blocked you from truth forever?
Why did you hide the bad things you did in life?
Why are not just contented with your wife?
Why steal the things that you really don’t possess?
Why evil is your style to achieve greatness?
Your situation can still be remedied
If this poem, you will not neglect but heed.
Jupiter, Jupiter, let your ear listen
Jupiter, Jupiter, make your heart open.
