Jungle Gym Poem by Emma Jane

Jungle Gym

Long Laughs
Strawberry lip gloss
Shared secrets
Cigarettes and fancy chairs
Holding your breathe
Playing Cards at hotel bars
Violin’s on long weekends
Crushes on boy’s with triangle heads
Playing with childish make-up
Drinking tea from cups that clink
Staying up for as long as possible
Watching old movies from the 70’s
Inside joke
Sand castles and sea salt
Care Bears
“Hi I’m Piper, you’re gonna be my best friend! ”
