Jump Rope Love Poem by Molly Breadcrumb

Jump Rope Love

my heart feels like it is playing jump rope in my chest
my hands are like a waterfall of nerves
my forehead is like a dewy field on a cool spring day
my stomach is like a butterfly in the summer’s heat
my mind is like a hurricane shacking up my thoughts
my eyes feel like a piece of sand paper
my feet feel glued to the ground
my tongue is like a flimsy noodle in my mouth
my ears can only hear the pounding of my heart like a big rain storm in my head
my face looks as red as a fresh picked strawberries
my hair on the back of my neck feels like they are dancing
my voice sounds like a dieing cat
my nerves are like little bombs going off
my lungs are breathing harder as if I was running a race
my heart feels like it is playing jump rope in my chest
