July 4th Fireworks Poem by Lonnie Hicks

July 4th Fireworks

Love passes
Fire Works to smoke
heals only
with those
with no sense
of rainbow
But those who know Truth's Gravity
know True Love Leaves
Fireworks' Mark
Glowing Permanently
in sky
gone dark.
Press not soothing balms
they'll not suffice
Memory's Test
I'll keep this love close
despite the hurt
because
still there
along side the pain
is that permanent
Glow
in my Love's Sky
bright still
despite
the
passage of time.
