Joy Of A Child Poem by Bambina Chatterjee

Joy Of A Child

A little child walked looking above at the sky by the river
She was so excited to see above the moving clouds all clear
The snow like clouds caught her attention and she wondered
From where is all these cotton like snow created she pondered

As she thought and walked with the moving clouds
Something magical happened she had stepped on
She found herself sailing in one of the clouds chair
Surprised she asked herself is it all true and real

A whisper came from the cloud saying my dear
Welcome your heart felt desire is come real
I will host you this beautiful day around all the way
You are the crowned princess chosen for today

Amazed and happy as she flew, with smiles all new
Great and awesome was all that she knew
She tried and tried to touch the sky but could not do
She thanked god for choosing her from the few

By the evening she had to say good bye to the cloud
With charm and thankful heart she held on more close
As if it was time to take a blow and strike a pose
She said good bye with a sweet smiling face
