Joy



I should never have trusted the silence,
I should have trusted the fear,
I should have listened to my inner voice,
and trusted that very first tear.
Long ago, I knew the way,
not accepting disrespect and pain.
And now nobody will stand in the way,
of all the joy I have to attain.
