Journeys End

Sometimes its sad when you
are torn from the dream

The pain of life surrendered
in one silent scream

You hold on tight to shadows
thinking they are real

You are lost in distant galaxies
not knowing how to feel

You hope that the void will be
replaced by warmth and light

You wander in the darkness
as your soul it takes flight

In this state you ‘re searching
hoping to be free

As you follow the highway
where it leads to the sea

Setting free the illusions
not willing to pretend

And there at the beginning
the journey finally ends ….

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
