From the first glimpse of light,
The first breath of air,
The first echo of sound,
You were there from the start.

You lit my journey through life,
Journey through the sunrise,
Journey through the sunset,
Hand in hand we marched through the overcast.

You showed me the importance of love,
The importance of happiness,
The importance of family,
You were always my better half.

Through the darkest tempests,
To the radiant oasis,
Through the midnight sun,
You led me here from the start,
And you'll be there at the end.
