Journey (Pictures Of You) Poem by Andrew Fincham

Journey (Pictures Of You)

Rating: 3.7

As oil on water
I live in pictures of you
Iridescent
Swirling stream
Of image indistinct
Caught in sunlight
Lit within
Invisible
Uncatchable
Uncaught.

Unprompted visions
Clawed for
Happiness suspended
Caught on bramble
Held like litter on a park fence
Blown like cold wind
Left like roadkill
Unlovable
Unsought.

In all of this
I seek your eyes
First
Mouth and lips
I take your presence
Sheltering
I feel you love
Unbuyable
Unbought

And I am home.
