Journey Poem by Hillary Unknown

Journey

Your lips touch mine
As I pretend that I’m fine
You pull away
As I try to hold my emotions at bay
Your look turns soft
We know what it will cost
I hold out my hand
Declaring my stand
You look at it for a moment
Then you take it like it’s heaven sent
We start out
Not knowing the plans ahead
I give a joyful shout
As you gently touch my head
