Jigsaw Puzzle Poem by Liyo Denorte

Jigsaw Puzzle

piece by piece
we suit each other
piece by piece
we form each other
like screws and metals
cement to concrete; fibers to walls
we grow together
we are the pillars of our empire
obscuring everything into shadow
every trace
every curve
every hint
are designed for us to be together
interlocking
and tessellating
kisses
locks up
assembled with salty lips
of sodium chloride
and chemical admixtures
of spanish lessons
and world literary

interlocking:
two lips
two pair of hands
two chests
two crotches
two hearts
a couple of souls,
one love

To my friend Liyo, it always amazes me how you can get away with writing poems about love and passion (believe me, although I'll try to write about the same topic, but I can never be as good as you; I can not get away with writing about the said topic..hehehe) . It is your forte.. keep up the intriguing yet wonderful work.. :)
