Jeremy Poem by Anita Wisniewska

Jeremy

JEREMY

Jeremy is afraid, because he knows

Germs are biting at his toes

They have chewed right through

The worn-out sole of his shoe

They are climbing up his legs,

To lay their eggs

In his untidy pockets,

And knowing he

They are pressing their fangs to his forehead

And building their nests in his hair.

Poor Jeremy, he doesn't know where

To run to now.
