Jenna Poem by Rachel Henley

Jenna

Beloved sister,
Deep in thought you always are.
Believing your below the clouds.
When you're a star.

Jenna, don't let the papers tell you.
How your supposed to look.
What a girl is supposed to be.
I do so, desperately believe.
You are much more than beauty.
More than this world can conceive.

Another Friday, Jenna is slapping the make up on her face.
Once again, leaving her natural beauty know its place.
If the world could only see you as I do.
They wouldn't believe such a beauty could be true.

All your imperfections, you hate to the bottom of your gut.
Your Imperfections, I counted, You have none.
The women in the magazines, are desperate to remain young.
Plastic surgery, Whatever's necessary, it will be done.

Wipe the make up off Jenna,
You have a god given beauty.
Now, go.
Give the world a show.

Interesting. Your view of your sister is conflicted, but you clearly love her. I suppose in the end, all that matters is that you support her and who she wants to be. Beautiful poem.
