Laying squarely
In nature’s path,
Japan fell victim
To her wrath.
And now is ravaged
By her force,
Which in fury
Took its course.
.
They need our gifts
And our prayers.
They need our sympathy
And our wares.
They need good wishes
As they strive
In their trek
To survive.
Such disaster
(In scope and size) —
Incomprehensible
To the human eye.

Absolutely, Japan needs us today. The Japanese are one of the toughest people on earth. Even they are not ready for the sheer size of the present crisis. Great write.
