January Rains, As I Remember Poem by RIC BASTASA

January Rains, As I Remember

January rains fall in all the green ricefields
The carabaos graze the little brown children run and play
The rainbow comes like the Gumamelas in multicolors
In her little garden in her little house
Where the little people just have a little talk

Then with little cups of coffee to keep their little tongues warm
The rains of
January slowly fall
