Jamie Lee White Poem by Ami White

Jamie Lee White

I wish you were here,
To celebrate my 18th,
But instead you can hear,
This poem I wrote for you.

I never got the chance to meet you,
You died while you were born,
I think about you as if I knew you,
I know you see the way I mourn.

I want to see your lovely face,
I want to feel your sweet embrace,
The only thing that's missing,
Is you my brother,
I really don't want another,
Like you.

I will never forget that day,
The day God decided to take you away,
It's been nearly 10 years since you left,
And I still have trouble saying the word 'death'.
