Jaded Masquerade Poem by Megan Tucker

Jaded Masquerade

Jaded Masquerade,

this love not pre-paid,

but in the fine print it reads “We can’t gurantee your love won’t fade”.

My heart is tangled up in these bed sheets,

looking in your eyes my heart skips a beat.

Cuddles and snuggles,

late night talks about past struggles,

yet I still don’t know who you really are.

Jaded Masquerade,

no need for first aid,

I’m not here to invade.

…Just give me your name.
