Its The 60's Baby Poem by Kevin Patrick

Its The 60's Baby

Rating: 5.0

Let's go chase some rabbits
in our shiny boots of leather,
get whiplash from the merman
While catching Lucy in the Ether (in bad weather)

Its the 60's Baby
thats where I want to live

Emily won't let us play
in our interstellar overdrive
But if we pick up Lather and Prudence
We can see the white room with black curtains

It's always been a strange trip
When we are Californian Dreaming
Just tell the smoking caterpillar
Were chasing castles made of sand

Its the 60's Baby
thats where I want to live

When I go up you just go down
But it's always going round and round
Loneliness is never a drag
When Sergeant Pepper chills with his band

Lets sail the crystal ship of june
Never riding to the end
Lets make every day our summer
Always searching for flower adventures

Its the 60's baby
and its where I want to live

I actually like this reminds me of when I was a little girl...hmmm I do have good memorys and for me music was the key that helped me though the bad times. I love how you used songs that I know in this poem of yours bravo nicely done
