Since I took a breath

Its been long
Since I took a step

I want to step out and breathe
In a world of freedom,
With freedom to speak

Its been long
Since I heard my voice
The voice to express my opinion
And to express my choice

Its been long
Since I felt loved
Loved for being a person

A person with a soul
Seeking happiness & living with dignity
Is my ultimate goal
