It Was Love Poem by Siyabonga A Nxumalo

It Was Love

Rating: 4.7

the first time I laid my eyes on u,
it seemed that time stood still,
and the Soul of the world surged within me,
when I looked into your dark eyes n realized
your Sexy lips were poised between a laugh and silence,
I learned the most essential language,
language that everyone's heart is able to understand.
It was love.

something older than humanity,
ancient than deserts and majestic mountains
and rivers of the world,
something that exerted the same force
when our eyes met.
You smiled and your beautiful eyes started
dancing to the silent tunes of your heart.
something only your heart could confirm,
but I was certain....
babe, it was love.....

A lovely romantic narrative poem well written in poetic diction, to capture the bliss of mutual love felt in the inner recesses of the lovers hearts. I like the articulation of the piece. Very nice indeed. Please read my poem MZANSI AND THE BALLOT BOX.

Love is a passion born within the first human heart.... It is the same passion that still rules the world... When it is reflected in the eyes, any one can read that mute language of love.... as you have read it in the eyes of your beloved! Enjoyed this great song of love!
