It Was Poem by Katie Stacey

It Was

Rating: 3.5

Why do I want you now
When I didn't want you then
Now the sweet relief of parting
Has passed
My mind plays games
Short circuiting crazily
Tormenting me
I don't want you!
I only want you to want me
Gone on my terms not yours
Instead my one admission
Of imaginary jealousy
Means you walk away
Thinking I still want you
And yet why does that anger me
Isn't that what I wanted!
You are not angry or sad
Moving on now content
That it wasn't you
But I wish I could tell you
That it was.
