It Stole My Heart Away Poem by Vera Sidhwa

It Stole My Heart Away

It Stole My Heart Away

Neither a boyfriend or another man
Could steal my heart away.
My identity was in another land.
The identity was lost.

The stealing of my heart
Had no one to see.
It was in the land of eternity
Where there were you and me.

But the worst thing
That happened
Was you
That you stole my heart away.

My heart, in yours
In the past, present and future
You see.
It stole my heart away.
