She got in the taxi cab,
And she never looked back,
Everything that she owned,
Was right beside her.
The cab driver asked her,
Where she wanted to go,
And she tried to answer,
That she wanted to go home.
But she ended up saying,
That she wanted to leave,
And never come back,
And never look back.
The city rolled by,
Outside her window,
She didn’t cry,
As she thought of home.
It’s time she thought,
It’s time to go,
It’s time to be on my own.
