It's Good To Know Poem by Thomas Shelton

It's Good To Know

It's good to know that I mean nothing
People don't want to talk to me
I'm just a piece of a planet
A speck of dust stuck floating in the air

It's nothing personal against me
It's just the way things are
I'll learn to live

It's good to know that things are growing
Evolution is never ending
It takes time to see the whole picture
When you do it's bigger than you and I

Don't try to think about it
Just try to look around you
You'll learn to see

It's good to know the Earth is breathing
Our footsteps are its heart beating
Oceans like mouths to feed
Everything returns to the sea

It's just the circle of being alive
You are a part of it
So am I

It's good to know that I'm alive
More than flesh and blood I am full of life
While everything acts without thinking
I spend my days in a chamber of thought
