It's difficult to dot the 'i's
Sometimes.
I can't be true
And can't tell lies
To you.

I love and hate
And I forgive.
And I come back.
And you do blame
Me for your deeds
Done underhand.

You do want me
When I'm at hand.
I'm only thine.
But when you see
Another maid,
You can't be mine.

I'm sick and tired
Of plays and games,
But I'm your dog.
I'm not allowed
To slap your face.
And there's a lock

Upon my heart,
Upon my will.
I cannot bite.
I will not bark,
I will be still
And stay beside.
