It's All Their Fault Poem by Simon Gowen

It's All Their Fault

Rating: 5.0

I lost a friend of mine today
They put him in a box
I spun it round 3 times onstage
Now all we’ve found is socks!

I know I read the manual
I tried it on my Nan
So I called my best friend Dave on stage
He’d help me if he can

I’ve been watching Pen and Teller
I find them fascinating
But I haven’t got a friend like “Penn”
So Instead I put my mate in

I doubt that all the others
Would lose their own assistant
I’ll spin the box another time
I have to be persistent

I should have gone for David Blaine
He does his tricks alone
But I’m new to all this magic stuff
I never could have known

I’m glad I lost him when I did
Its only fair to say
My next thing was the “Sawing trick”
I learnt it yesterday.

So he really got off lightly
I better tell his dad
I’m sorry that I lost your son
The trick went wrong.......”My bad”

Oh, you are funny, funny crazy, so pleased you lost your friend before you did your sawing trick. or he would have finished up with a split personality, more than laughing, -choking,

Challenged to write a poem about Magic, with the added bonus of having to mention Penn and Teller...I created this.
