‘It’s All In The Game Of Life”

Ferocious beast in the race,
A step ahead; is the other
Both are on their swift:
One for prey and the other for life
A moment of dismay, declares the winner.
It’s all in the Game of Life!

Sophisticated life by one
Dreadful and pathetic life of many; on the other
The rich becoming the richer
And the poor; the poorest,
Social Justice is all a Paper Statement!
It’s all in the Game of Life!

Honey flows out instead of words
In the times of merry
A thought of disparity;
Topple down the prior treatment.
The same lips wouldn't hold to pour burning coals
It’s all in the Game of Life!

Butterfly can’t say no to caterpillar stage,
To be transformed as a beautiful fly
It has to undergo the life cycle.
So do; hurdles and hardships are to be crossed
To taste sweetness of being.
It’s all in the Game of Life!

Hurdles and hardships are to be overcome to taste the sweetness of being! How true! Only after passing through the creepy larva stage and being shut in a cocoon for days together that a butterfly emerges! It is all in the game of life! A very sagacious observation of life, Queeny! ! Life is what we make of it. We can work hard to improve it. But you are right, the rich seem to get richer but I wonder if they are happier? A good poem. (Report) Reply

poet William Wordsworth

I

I AM not One who much or oft delight
To season my fireside with personal talk.--
Of friends, who live within an easy walk,
Or neighbours, daily, weekly, in my sight:
