It Is The Same As You Think In Your Mind! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

Once a Hindi cinema actor,
On the way back to his native town,
Bombay, after worshiping a Shiva temple
In Katmandu, Nepal,

He reached the local airport
Where a customs officer checked
His baggage and took out a bottle of whisky!
He inquired him, ‘what do you have in this bottle? ’

He answered, ‘it contains the holy water
That is obtained from the temple tank’!
The officer was suspicious and asked,
‘What is the sanctity of bringing water in this bottle? ’

Actor replied instantly, ‘If you think that it is coconut oil,
You can apply it to your head for getting a shiny hair!
If you think as herbal oil, you can smear for relieving pain!
As a holy water, you can drink a little and relieve your ailment!

Still officer in doubt said it looks like whisky bottle,
Took a gulp of it and said, ‘It tastes like whisky’
Actor said, ‘Yes, Sir, As I already said earlier,
This holy water is the same as you think in your mind’.

The officer was confused and ‘let him go’
The people who accompanied the actor
Were wondering and appreciating the way
He managed the officer in a hilarious manner!
