It Is Shame Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

It Is Shame

It is shame

On my way to escape
in desert and stuck
in the mud of flood
I attacked a rat's nest
as have done invaders
in course of history.

EVERY TIME
EVERYWHERE.

Exploit?
Survival?

Doubtlessly I made me enemy…
I thought of what would be…
If I lost my power?
If the rats united?

TERRORISTS?

It is not so ugly
It can be explained.

But bombing innocents?
Ignoring to accept refugees?
The ones that we have made?

It is shame
It is shame
It is shame

And voting for planes:
"Keep bombing innocent"
"In their hope, in kitchen…
hospitals, and weddings, everywhere."

WHO IS THE TERRORIST?

It is shame
It is shame
It is shame.
