It Is Not Everything
It is not everything we are
And not everything we have done
Perhaps it is nothing
But perhaps also
The best that we are
The best that we have done
Will somehow live
In the minds and hearts of others
When we are no longer here-
Perhaps something of us
Something we have done
Will mean something
To those who come after-
It is not everything
And it may be nothing
But perhaps there is ‘something'.
