It Could Last Forever



wind, my friend i smell you
cherry sweet shiny enticing
i reach up i feel coolness
of tiny buttons come together
tips of my finger into my lips
juice squirt to my teeth, yam

i forgot how many times i reach
pick cherry fruit above my head
i touch it, it rolls to my palm
yes, so shiny it keeps sunshine
there are redthroated hawks above
talking love, i believe we do have
