It Cost Nothing! Poem by Joseph Tanner

It Cost Nothing!

Rating: 5.0

Hold my hand,
‘cause when you get old,
It gets lonely!
There comes a time,
When no-one wants to hold your hand anymore.

So many sour faces,
They have so many places to go,
No time for curtsey,
A smile doesn’t cost a penny!

Everyone trying to be someone,
Living deluded dreams,
Forgetting to breathe,
To treasure what they behold,
Marriage is not what it was!

Sticks and stones do break bones,
Guns and knives kill,
All that blood loss,
The bloody crimes never end!

You are extremely sensitive - like an open wound and you always write very sincerely. That is what i like in you since i first read some of yours long ago
