It Became A Habit Poem by Manonton Dalan

It Became A Habit

a hungry seagull approach
looking at me into my eyes
as if she's saying 'give me'
she stood there for minutes
then decided time to fly away
i can't warden is watching me

a few yards is bay teeming
with minnows; baby mullets
small crabs crawling ashore
all she has to do is go there
and pick her free food; easy
but she is use to hand-outs
