It All Happened Poem by Raabia Tabassum

I never knew those would be,
the last days that I'd be spending with you.
You had to leave so soon? I never knew
For every night closer drew.
In front of me all cold you lay,
speechless I was and so were you
And then I fell on my knees,
wishing you'd stayed.
The grief and sorrow I went through,
the tears that hit the floor.
It all happened within moments
Before I could realise,
That one day you'd be no more.
