Issues I Poem by Demetrius JonesDixon

Issues I

Self-discipline is a struggle like carrying around a boulder.
To not express how you feel directly makes you grow colder.

Regardless, people will constantly disrespect you.
But they never take into account of what you've been through.

Sometimes you wanna go off for a moment and lose yourself.
Sometimes that's better than bottling your emotions on a shelf.

But what you have done will come back to you ten fold.
What you have done will make what's coming look not nothing, so don't try to act bold.

Instead calm thyself and begin to think.
Generate thoughts even if they take you to the brink.

Never let these bad actions turn you malevolent.
Or you'll end up like most folks who are prevalent.
