Island Of Lies Poem by David Harris

Island Of Lies

Rating: 3.0

The castle walls crumble
under deceit and lies
of just a few
with notions above their status.

They want things their own way
not caring whom they trample on
to get their goals
they want to reach

Their lives are built on lies
until the truth unveils itself
leaving them stranded
on their island of lies.

They may protest about it,
but the truth will always
come out sooner or later
to demolish their world.
