ख़वाब जिन्दा अभी, जिन्दा हैं हम, ज़माने वालों,
फ़ना होना है तुम्हें, तो हो जाओ, ज़माने वालों,

हर तरफ़ जलवा है, अपना ही अपना, ज़माने वालों,
तुम्हारा ही अक्स है जो, अक्स है, झूठा, ज़माने वालों,

सच है ये, सच के, मरना है सभी को, ज़माने वालों,
बे - सबब फिर क्यों, समझे हो ख़ुदा - ख़ुद को, ज़माने वालों,

इक अदद, इश्क़ है, जो ख़ुदा जैसा है, ज़माने वालों,
फिर क्यों, दुश्मन हो बने तुम, ख़ुदा के ही, ज़माने वालों,

हम तो हैं, इश्क़ के ही, इश्क़ के तलबग़ार, ज़माने वालों,
अब भी समझो, जो ना समझोगे तो, कहाँ जाओगे, ऐ, ज़माने वालों,

निर्वान बब्बर,
