Ishmatie Poem by Arthur Hummler

Ishmatie

Rating: 4.0

Ishmatie
How do I love thee?
Effortlessly?
Honestly?
never recklessly
you touch my soul
attaining my goal
uniting friendship
with intimacy
truly
How do I love thee?
Remember, its not easy
being me
you make it worthwhile
living in this body
I see so much
In your eyes
things get better
I have realized
The path we have walked
hasn't always been clear
Our vision has been clouded
through tears and fears
Through Faith
they disappear
Do you see what I see?
Truly, Madly, Deeply
I love thee
