Is This I? Poem by C. P. Sharma

Is This I?

Rating: 3.9

(Part - I)

He is this,
He is that,
Raji's hubby
Ankur's Dad.
Bittu's inspiration,
Titu's devotion,
Susie's emotion,
Siblings' ambition.

His house number's fifty-three,
Across the road there is Neem tree,
Opposite Polo ground,
The Stadium around.

Slim in constitution,
Wheatish in complexion,
Five feet nine inches in shoes,
All his life's been boo boos.

He lost most of his teeth,
He has gaps in speech,
His profession is to teach,
Most of the things beyond his reach.

He is qualified a lot,
But is not a big shot,
Marx, he agrees not,
Trade unions him boycott.

He has no sense of humor,
In his brain he has some tumor*,
He is cool as cucumber,
In temper he is somber.

His latest fad is Internet,
There everything he forget,
He has diversified interest.
He is an old man,

Of ladies became fan,
Has he gonna madman?
He has a short life span.

Narrating from a third person point of view, You have given an account of first person. It is really a beatiful style. As far as identity at this age is concerned, It does not matter a lot.Because a man does a lot of things in his life to create his own identity, but at the end he longs for something which gives him ultimate satisfaction irrespective of other vain thinkings.A good work
