Is There Laughter, Music, Dance And Song Poem by Francis Duggan

Is There Laughter, Music, Dance And Song

Is there laughter music, dance and song in the Parish of Millstreet
In the pubs of Cullen and Millstreet Town when friends and families meet
Or have things so changed in Duhallow far away
That I would feel a stranger there today?

Is Dan Connell's pub still going in Knocknagree?
For music, song and dance it had a history
The man himself with the departed lay
And time ticks on as some are known to say.

Where I once lived the changes happening there
But the passing of time brings change to everywhere
The past has gone the future is ahead
And we can only live in the now as is said.

Life does go on but the memories remain
And in fancy I visit the past again
In the Duhallow pubs the patrons drink their stout and beer
And with the music, dance and song there's lots of cheer.
