Is The Peace An Everlasting Dream Of Mine?

Rating: 4.8

Looking for an excuse
To justify what I read
A Piece of news in the papers
On the first sheet
Picture of child in the war
I wish I had never seen
A small boy with sunken eyes
His body packed with fear
Begging look to save his life
His mother like his shield
Fists tight with fright
Knees bend to his chin
Terror rules all over that body
As devil king
He shakes from top to tip
With rattle sound of teeth
It reminds me of hunted
Pretty trapped red deer
All hopes lost
Now no desire but breathe
Like a dove that flies up
When released
He knows from heart
Must wait for bullets
War resembles a sickle
Cutting stem of wheat
But why for children
These destitute seeds
In the war zones
Dead blossoms swing in breeze
Though you see them
As dead bodies on the field
Pondering if politics
Meant to fulfill peace
Wondering if can I wipe
That revolting scene
All tired of merely making speech
