Is It Too Late For Everything? Poem by Shalom Freedman

Is It Too Late For Everything?

IS IT TOO LATE FOR EVERYTHING?

Is it too late for everything?
Is it already all over in every way?
Can I never begin again in anything?
Can I never realize even one dream
I have long had?
Is it too late to dream again?
Is it too late to find some goodness and beauty in life?
Is it all over really over finally over done?
Is it too late to live even a little?
Or is there still some small something somehow
To go on with
In Hope and Happiness?

Maybe it is only too late for most things
And there is something left
Maybe it is mostly too late
And still a bit not too late?
Maybe even in old old age
There is still something to live for?

You a very great poet. You do have something to live for, writing your wonderful poetry A great gift for this unpoetic world.
