Is It Time Poem by Alison Smith

As the tears poured out and the body soared
She felt a strange feeling of release
Maybe this time the bonds would finally be broken
This time her isolation would be complete

She viewed the group that she had faced
She found that here were people she would like to know
But again she found herself in the cold
No hugs, no love was flowing this time

Deep within the cavern the dragon's eyes opened
Was it time to awaken?
No!
Only a reminder that the time was soon.
