Irreplaceable Love Poem by Maureen Alikor

Irreplaceable Love

When you hunger
and thirst for reasons,
reasons why God is God
take a look at;
the animals
the birds
the plants
the trees
and all of nature's gift

If you seek more reasons
take a pause
stare at me
let you hands be lifted
in adoration to the one
who is called El
He made me thus
He lavished his best on me,
you also He has blessed

once a while
I stare at the reptiles
wondering how totally different they all are
something in me smiles
because His hands have held mine
making sweet promises
palatable to my eardrums
what wouldn't I give to have Him?
What would I not do to keep?
He knows me better than me,
He leads me patiently
and carefully;
knowing how fragile I can be
all of His Love, He bestowed on me
I am His
He is mine
