Ironic Barrier Poem by Jacob Biehl

Ironic Barrier

How ironic is a man's ambition,
is when his only barrier, is his self,
ironic, is it not, when your asked to jump a hurdle and go through a hoop, when there is a motivation?
yet with no carrot, a mule wont labor, and without oats, a bull wont pull,
so ironic is it not when a man's ambition is stomped by what he thinks his pessimest mind knows?
