Irish For More Than A Day Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Irish For More Than A Day

Fantasy Poem

'Luck pressed a bell'
on the evening we met,
you named me Wild Rose,
I shall never forget.
Now your song comes to me
from the Vale of Tralee
and I dote on its melody yet.
A love song designed with
the Shannon in mind
as sung from that green
Emerald shore... music
sublime, mellow with time
and if 'luck pressed a bell'
my name would be
Wild Rose evermore.
